Forgery spiller hard, rask og kompromissløs metal. Bandet ble opprinnelig dannet i sommeren 1990, men gikk inn i dvale på midten av nittitallet, etter et par demo utgivelser.

Med ny trommeslager i 2002, Karl Jonny Lervg (ex-Paradigma), dro de tilbake til øvingsstudioet for å komme opp med en enda hardere og mer kompromissløs stil, og for å få frem den ærlige aggresjonen og brutaliteten fra de legendariske Bay Area band, men med en mer up-to-date lyd og med å innlemme flere ulike musikalske innflytelser.

Bevæpnet med nytt materiale, rekruttert Forgery en andre gitarist, Ronny Hansen (ex-Enthral) i 2004, og har siden hatt fokus på å skrive og spille inn nytt materiale, samt rive opp live scenen i Norge, både på egenhånd og på festivaler som Inferno. Sommeren 2006 spilte de inn sin første full-lenght album rett CORE, innspilt og mikset i Strand Studio.

I 2006/2007 KJ bestemte seg for å forlate bandet på grunn av personlige årsaker. I jakten på en ny trommeslager, endte Forgery opp med Jan Roger Halvorsen (ex.Old Mans Child, og trommer på Rotting Christ album "Khronos", samt session trommis for Zensor, 54). Hans imponerende spill ga bandet utmerket muligheter til å lage nytt materiale. Forgery endret seg fra å være et rent thrash-metal band, til et band som blander ulike sjangere i metal.

2009: Ga ut sitt debut album "Harbouring Hate" i november, og spillte konserter gjennom de neste par månedene.

2010: Forgery skriver for tiden materiale til deres neste album.

Forgery is a four-piece band playing hard, fast and uncompromising metal. The band was originally formed in the summer of 1990, but went into hiatus in the mid-nineties, after a couple of demo releases.

Resurfacing with a new drummer in 2002, Karl Jonny Lervg (ex-Paradigma), they went back to the drawing board to come up with an even harder and more uncompromising style, incorporporating the honest aggression and brutality of the legendary Bay Area bands with a more up-to-date sound and incorporating more diverse musical influences.

Armed with new material, Forgery recruited a second guitarist, Ronny Hansen (ex-Enthral) in 2004, and have since been concentrating on writing and recording new material, as well as tearing up the live scene in Norway, both on their own and on festivals like Inferno. In the summer of 2006 they recorded their first ever full-lenght album entitled CORE, recorded and mixed at Strand Studio.

In 2006/2007 KJ decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. In the search for a new drummer Forgery ended up with Jan Roger Halvorsen (ex.Old Mans Child, drums on Rotting Christ album ”Khronos”, session drummer for Zensor, 54). His impressive playing gave the band excellent oppertunities in the making of new material. Forgery changed from beeing a pure thrash-metal act to a band mixing different genres in metal.

2009: Releasing their debut album "Harbouring Hate" in November, and gigging for the event through the next couple of months.

2010: Forgery is currently writing material for their next album.
